How is Bullet-Proof PC effective against virus infections?

Bullet-Proof PC is virus-proof because the operating system resides in a read-only, write protected medium. Since direct changes to the operating system are prohibited, viruses or malicious programs can't change or alter the system files. This results in a system that is highly reliable and performance that does not degrade over time.

How is Bullet-Proof PC effective against spyware infections?

Similar reasons as above. Bullet-Proof PC does NOT use any Microsoft software. There is NO registry in Bullet-Proof PC to become corrupt or altered by Spyware. Since the operating system resides on a read-only, write protected medium, permanent changes can not be made.

What makes Bullet-Proof PC different from anti-virus software and spyware removal software?

Bullet-Proof PC does not have anti-virus software or spyware removal software because it doesn't need it. Since changes can not be made to a read-only, write protected system, software to "undo" the changes made by viruses or spyware is not needed. Bullet-Proof PC is a complete system, designed from the ground up, using best of breed components to ensure a high performance, highly reliable computer system that allows you to get work done. FAST, RELIABLY, AND SECURE.

Why should I buy a Bullet-Proof PC instead of anti-virus software and spyware removal software?

On a Windows PC, Anti-virus and Spyware programs must to be purchased annually and kept up to date daily to be effective at prevention. Bullet-Proof PCs are designed to NOT need anti-virus or spyware removal software. This cost savings is substantial!

What are the differences between the Bullet-Proof PC operating system and Microsoft Windows?

Bullet-Proof PC is a highly tuned and customized operating system based on Linux. Linux is free under the General Public License (GPL) to use for both business and personal use. There are no costs associated with the operating system. Linux is more secure than Microsoft Windows by design. We have taken the already secure Linux operating system, tweaked it, stripped it down to speed it up and make it easier to use, and took it a step further by choosing hardware that is highly reliable. The result is an ultra secure, Bullet-Proof PC that won't crash.

Can I write letters, send emails, instant message, and play games on my Bullet-Proof PC?

Yes! Open Source Software has been carefully chosen to give the ability to Open and Write letters, save them as several file types, including a Microsoft Word compatible format. Exchanging letters with friends that still use Microsoft Windows is not a problem. Emails can be sent with Mozilla Thunderbird. Thunderbird is designed to prevent the spread of viruses, spam, junk mail, etc. It's packed with features that are easy to use, safe, and secure. For Instant messaging, we chose the multi-protocol instant messaging client, Gaim. Gaim supports AIM and ICQ (Oscar protocol), MSN Messenger, Yahoo!, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu, SILC, GroupWise Messenger, and Zephyr networks. Users can log in to multiple accounts on multiple networks simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on AOL Instant Messenger, talking to a friend on Yahoo Messenger, and sitting in an IRC channel all at the same time. Gaim supports many features of the various networks, such as file transfer, away messages, typing notification, and MSN window closing notification. It also goes beyond that and provides many unique features. A few popular features are Buddy Pounces, which give the ability to notify you, send a message, play a sound, or run a program when a specific buddy goes away, signs online, or returns from idle; and plugins, consisting of text replacement, a buddy ticker, extended message notification, iconify on away, spell checking, tabbed conversations, and more.

Will Bullet-Proof PC work in my current computer network?

Yes! Bullet-Proof PCs use the standard TCP/IP network protocol. This is the same protocol that drives the Internet. Bullet-Proof PCs can co-exist with other Windows, Mac, Unix, and Linux PCs all on the same network. File sharing is provided by ROX. ROX is similar to Windows Explorer. It allows interaction with a Microsoft Windows client or server as if it is a Windows file and print server. This means that you will be able to mount shared drives just like in Windows!

How can Bullet-Proof PC enhance my office network capabilities?

Bullet-Proof PC can enhance office networks by allowing users to spend more time doing real WORK rather than troubleshooting various computer problems (BSOD, etc.). Bullet-Proof PCs are very reliable and fast.

How can Bullet-Proof PC increase my business security?

Bullet-Proof PC is virus-proof because the operating system resides in a read-only, write protected medium. Since direct changes to the operating system are prohibited, viruses or malicious programs can't change or alter the system files. Viruses will not be able to cripple your business functions. A network of Bullet-Proof PCs results in a Bullet-Proof network. Spyware will not be able to intercept private communications or turn your PC into a spam machine.
